Silence of the Lambs prequel series Clarice could switch platforms

Home and Away actress Rebecca Breeds could be moving platforms for Clarice, the prequel series to Silence of the Lambs.

Deadline reports that negotiations continue for CBS’ killer drama to be transferred to streaming service Paramount+. Meanwhile, the network’s two other titles, SEAL Team, and Evil are already confirmed for relocation ahead to seasons 4 and 2.

George Cheeks, CEO of CBS Entertainment Group, stated that “Our Studio and Network have a strong track record of developing high-quality dramas that have multi-platform success, and these series speak to that strength”.

“These moves mark another example of how our linear and streaming ecosystem can strategically work together to maximize value for the content and benefit the series and its creators.”

According to CBS, the recent commissioning of four new dramas (offshoots of FBI, NCIS, and CSI plus Good Sam) influenced their decision. The network is also keen to diversify its schedule.

Paramount+’s head for programming Julie McNamara shared her views, saying that she was thrilled to bring Paramount+ new seasons of these incredible series.

“We have a strong record of building incredible audiences with these creative teams, including Robert and Michelle King’s incomparableThe Good Fight, and look forward to bringing our subscribers even more seasons of series they love.”

Clarice season 1, available for streaming in the USA on CBS All Access. It has not yet been revealed what platform or release date it will be available in the UK.
