Amazon Prime Video recently released more information about its adaptation of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time. The multinational giant hopes this 14-book fantasy epic will become “the next Game of Thrones.” Deadline reports that production on the first season has been completed, despite being delayed by the pandemic.
According to reports, season 2 production will start “immediately thereafter.” “This is the first confirmation that Amazon ordered season 2 of the show, sight unseen and before the public saw the first.
This bold move is not surprising considering the show’s nature. Amazon will not renew the show unless they see the performance of the first season. This is effectively guaranteeing that there will be a long break between seasons.

How many The Wheel of Timeseason books can you adapt?
It is not an easy task to adapt 14 books for television.
The first season of The Eye of the World will likely adapt it. This is likely because Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), an Aes Sedai witch, will visit them and take them on an adventure that could go on for years.
Although we have evidence that the first season will make it to the end, it is not yet clear where it will stop.
