Fans of “Horizon Forbidden West” are Already Auditioning For Aloy in the Netflix Adaptation

Although a Horizon TV version has only recently been revealed, people are already voting for Aloy.

The revelation that a TV version of Horizon Forbidden West / Zero Dawn is in the works at Netflix, under the guidance of Sony, surfaced earlier today. Horizon fans are now flocking to Twitter to give their ideas on who should play heroine Aloy, and one popular suggestion appears to be Rose Leslie from Game of Thrones, as shown below.

It’s simple to see why Leslie comes to mind when Aloy is mentioned. Her Game of Thrones character is strikingly similar to Guerrilla’s, with a strong affinity for archery to boot. If Leslie is cast as Aloy, some of her bow-tying experience might come in helpful.

However, as many have pointed out, Leslie is a lot older in her mid-30s than Aloy is in Guerrilla’s two games. Erin Kellyman, who you might recognize from Solo: A Star Wars Story, could be a terrific alternative if Netflix opts for a younger lead.

The Netflix version of Horizon wasn’t the only project Sony announced today. Amazon Studios is developing a God of War television series, and an undisclosed studio is developing a Gran Turismo television series. All of this is on top of the Twisted Metal TV program and The Last of Us TV show, the latter of which has been filming in Canada for a few months and is set to premiere in early 2023.
