What is The Visage Shield?
It takes 44 Strength to wield the Visage Shield, a greatshield. If you can deal with its enormous equip weight, this fantastic pick blocks 100% of physical damage and has extremely high resistance to most types of magic as well. To prevent attackers from closing in on you while you go ahead, you can also hold down Tongues of Fire, which sprays fire jets in front of you.
The Visage Shield’s item description reads:
Tricksome bronze shield depicting the face of a Fire Giant. Several tongues leap from its open mouth. The dreadful visage and burning flames are designed to remind one of the horror of facing a Fire Giant. In other words, this shield has an instructional function.
Location of the Visage Shield
The Caelem Ruins in Caelid are where you can find the Visage Shield. There are stairs leading down to the cellar on the eastern side of the ruins, but retrieving the shield won’t be as simple as opening a chest. Instead, you’ll have to contend with a pair of Mad Pumpkin Head bosses in a cramped area.
Bring a strong Spirit Summon along with you when you encounter these two enormous bosses to serve as a distraction, and then concentrate your assaults on the opponent with a hammer because of his slower strikes. If you remember not to target his invulnerable head, he will fall swiftly, and you can then focus your assaults on the other monster. Open the nearby door once they are dead and look inside for the Visage Shield in the chest.
