“Elden Ring” Endings Guide: Unlocking All Endings

Viewing all of “Elden Ring’s” distinct endings, like seeing many other parts of the game, will require a significant amount of effort. Many of the endings can only be obtained by completing numerous NPC questlines, which requires wandering throughout the Lands Between performing bizarre activities for even crazier individuals. While players may configure themselves to have the option of selecting any of the endings, if you want to view them all in a single game, you’ll need to do some save scumming. Here’s how to acquire every Elden Ring ending.

Age of Fracture, “Elden Lord”

The “Elden Lord”, Age of Fracture ending is the “default” ending because it requires no further work other than defeating all of the obligatory monsters. After beating the final boss, players will be brought beside the Fractured Marika, and all they have to do to become the “Elden Lord” is touch it. This ending, together with the other “Elden Lord” endings, unlocks the “Elden Lord” ending achievement. It’s vital to note that advancing too far in the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending will lock you out of this and all subsequent endings. You may reverse the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending by following our advice.

Age of the Duskborn, “Elden Lord”

The Age of the Duskborn ending is centered around Fia, the Deathbed Companion. The second version of the “Elden Lord” ending, Age of the Duskborn, requires you to complete Fia’s quest, or at least the last few steps of it. I’ll go through the full side quest here, but there’s a starting point if you missed the early phases, which must be completed early in the game. Fia is a dying companion who frequents the Roundtable Holding area. If you comply, she will give you a consumable item and a health debuff.

To begin Fia’s quest, we must first meet with Rogier, the magical user who assists you during the Margit fight. You must go to the secret location beneath Stormveil Castle after chatting with Rogier. Down here is the root of the death root tree, which has grown throughout the castle. Look for a specific bloodstain that depicts Rogier being slain by the death status effect. Later, return to the Roundtable Hold and question Rogier about this. Rogier’s side quest continues from here, but that’s all you need to do to get this ending.

Now, for Fia, you’ll need to be held a lot. The ideal way to finish this is to be held, quickly pop the blessing she gives you, and then be held again. She will eventually provide you a worn knife and urge you to restore it to its rightful owner. Speak with D, an NPC in Roundtable Hold. It’s not his knife, but he knows who owns it. Fia will murder D in a cutscene, which is meant to happen, and then she will depart the Roundtable Hold.

Following that, you must journey to Nokron, Eternal City. After beating Radahn, go underground to the location where the star landed in Limgrave. You’ll eventually come to an aqueduct, which will be followed by a pair of twin bosses. After fighting them, proceed up the waterfall to Deeproot Depths. The primary bosses arena can be found in the northeast portion of this location, which can be reached by climbing up a succession of tree branches in the Nameless Eternal City.

If you missed out on the first part of Fia’s journey, this is where you can get back on track. Fia will murder D offscreen and depart the Roundtable Hold for the Deeproot Depths after you reach the Deeproot Depths. The ending is the same whether you completed the first part of Fia’s mission or not.

In the boss arena, you must battle Fia’s Champions, a swarm of NPC invaders. After killing them, you’ll discover Fia sitting next to an inactive teleport gate. You’ll need to be held by Fia and go through all of the discussion choices several times. She will eventually request the Cursemark of Death, which may be obtained at the Divine Tower of Liurnia.

To enter the genuine Divine Tower of Liurnia, you must get roughly halfway through Ranni the Witch’s side quest. To summarize, you must dedicate yourself to Ranni, journey to Nokron, Eternal City, and locate the Fingerslayer Blade. She offers you the Carian Inverted Statue after transforming it into Ranni. In the southeastern region of Liurnia, go to the Carian Study Hall and utilize the Carina Inverted Statue to invert the Study Hall. You must make your way down and into the Study Hall, where an elevator will finally lead you to the Divine Tower of Liurnia, where you can locate the Cursemark of Death.

Return to Fia in the Deeproot Depths, and she’ll let you into the boss arena, where you’ll face Lichdragon Fortissax, who drops the Rune of the Death-Prince. After killing the final monster, players will be able to use the Rune of the Death-Prince on Marika, which will activate the Age of the Duskborn ending.

Age of Despair, “Elden Lord”

The Age of Despair ending is centered around the loathsome Dung Eater. To complete the “Elden Lord”, Age of Despair ending, you must first complete the Dung Eater questline. To begin this quest line, you must locate a Seabed Curse item, which may be found at various spots throughout the game. After locating one, proceed to the Roundtable Hold and into a chamber immediately before the Twin Maiden Husks, where a Dung Eater projection will be hanging out. When he notices you have a Seabed Curse, he assigns you the responsibility of killing him in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds under Leyndell and hands you the key to his cell.

Before you do that, you should develop the Blackguard’s tale so that he can appear later on. To achieve this, you must first complete the first stage of Rya’s side quest, which entails finding her in Liurnia. She’ll inform you that her jewelry was taken. Go to the Boilprawn Shack in Liurnia to discover Blackguard, the thief of the necklace. Buy it for 1,000 Runes and then buy some cooked prawns from him. He’ll tell you that he trusts anybody who enjoys boiling prawns, and you’ll be best friends for ever.

Now travel to Leyndell, Capital City, and locate the well leading to the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. Even if you go too far in the narrative and Leyndell turns to ash, there is still a tunnel that leads underground. The subterranean area is a maze, but if you’ve located the Underground Roadside Site of Grace, you should be able to navigate your way to the Dung Eater. Exit the Site of Grace to your left and enter the gated hole in the ground. You’ll land on several rats, with a pipe to utilize to exit on the right and Miranda Blooms on the left. Pass the Miranda Blooms, climb the staircase, and take this way. Tell the Dung Eater to leave his gaol once you arrive.

Return to the Roundtable Hold and the room where Dung Eater was. There will now be a notice guiding you to the “Outer Moat,” or Leyndell’s moat. Head northwest from the Capital Rampart Site of Grace to discover out where he will invade you. This is also where the Blackguard will reappear and grant you another Seabed Curse, which is significant because you will require five in total. Return to Roundtable Hold after beating Dung Eater and chat with him. He will request that you implant his body from the Subterranean Shunning Grounds with the Seabed Curse, of which you will require five. You can give him less than five and more later, but don’t kill him until he has received five.

Following that, he will offer you the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse, which you may use at Marika in the final section to activate this variation of the ending.

Age of Order, “Elden Lord”

Age of Order, the next iteration of the “Elden Lord” ending, needs you to finish the Brother Corhyn and Goldmask side quests. By getting too far through the main plot, you might exclude yourself from these tasks and the finale. One of the key aspects is having Melina burn the Erdtree, but for good measure, execute these actions as soon as possible.

Brother Corhyn, a religious practitioner who sells incantations, will be your first encounter in the Roundtable Hold. When you arrive to the Raya Lucaria Academy, Brother Corhyn will tell you that he is leaving the Roundtable Hold to locate Goldmask the next time you talk with him. Corhyn may be located next in the Altus Plateau, north of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace, on the same route that leads to the map fragment. Speak with him, then head over to Goldmask, who is seated on the broken great bridge in this region. He may be accessed via a teleport gate on the bridge’s northern end.

When you chat with Goldmask, he will not say anything, but if you return to Corhyn, he will depart that location to hang out with Goldmask. To go further, you’ll need to talk with each of them, but you’ll need at least two Great Runes to do so. They’ll be found next in Lyendell, Capital City, near the coliseum on a cliff’s edge. After chatting with them again, you must proceed to the Radagon monument, which may be located after fighting Godfrey, the ghost of the First “Elden Lord”.

To progress, you must cast the Law of Regression spell in front of the statue, which can be found in the Golden Order Principia Prayerbook. This prayer book may be located at the top of the chamber where you battle Godfrey by going outside and jumping across various roofs. After you receive the book, you must present it to an NPC, such as the Turtle Pope, so that they can teach you the Law of Regression magic. To use this spell, you must have 37 Intelligence, therefore make sure you have the necessary stats.

Corhyn and Goldmask may then be located on the bridge to the south of the Stargazer Ruins in the Mountaintops of the Giants. Following that, you must finish the Crumbling Farum Azula region and battle the tale boss there. When it is finished, Lyendell will be ash, and Goldmask will be dead near the coliseum from before. The Rune of Perfect Order may be seen on his body. Once you get it, simply use it on Marika to receive this ending.

Age of Stars Ending

The Age of Stars ending can be achieved by teaming up with Ranni. Now that we’ve studied every variation of the “Elden Lord” endings, we may venture into uncharted terrain. This is the only ending that will give the “Age of Stars” achievement. This ending does not have a point of no return, nor does it preclude you from accessing any of the other endings. The main goal of this mission is to fulfill Ranni the Witch’s questline. Our tutorial has a more extensive version, but here is a summary of what you need to accomplish.

After arriving in Liurnia, proceed to the northwest region to discover Caria Manor. Continue through this section until you defeat Royal Knight Loretta, which will allow you to enter the Three Sisters sector. Ranni’s Rise is located in the center of the three skyscrapers. Enlist in her army. After defeating Radahn, use the hole in Limgrave to get to Nokron, Eternal City. Pass through here to find Nokron’s prize, the Fingerslayer Blade. When you return to her Tower, she will grant you entrance to Renna’s Rise, the northernmost tower in the Three Sisters’ territory.

To get below to the Ansel River, use the teleport gate there. In front of you is a Site of Grace and a doll that resembles Ranni. Pick up the doll and go to the Site of Grace for a respite. You will have the choice to speak with the doll, which you should do several times until the doll admits to being Ranni and informs you that there are assassins around. Only at this Site of Grace may you communicate with the doll. After that, go upstream until you reach Nokstella. Stick along the river’s ground level route until you discover an elevator. Take it and proceed through the tunnel ahead of you.

An intruder that looks like Blaidd (but isn’t) will assault you in the next location. If you defeat him, Ranni will praise you and give you the key. A building with an elevator is located in the northwest corner of this area. Activate the Site of Grace by taking the elevator to the Lake of Rot. Proceed to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library, where a locked box is located behind Rennala. The Dark Moon Ring may be found within. Return to the Lake of Rot and cross it to reach the enormous structure. After entering, follow the river to a waterfall where you can enter a coffin.

This will take you to the boss encounter with Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. If you defeat it, there will be a route at the back of the arena that leads to another region. This path will be blocked if you haven’t obtained the Dark Moon Ring. You’ll arrive at the Moonlight Altar after passing through here; continue south to the Cathedral, via the Glintstone Dragon. There will be a walkway leading down within the Cathedral to Ranni. If you give her the ring, she will tell you to finish your adventure and leave you with the Moonlight Greatsword.

Once it is done, proceed to the last region of the game, where Marika may be found. Instead of engaging with Marika, a blue summon sign will appear on the ground, summoning Ranni. Using it will result in the end of the Age of Stars.

The Frenzied Flame’s Lord

The Frenzied Flame door.Lord of the Frenzied Flame, the final ending, has its own achievement upon completion. It is also one of the only endings that prevents you from accessing the other alternatives unless you complete a lot of extra stuff. For this ending, go to Leyndell, Capital City, and enter the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. This location can be reached even after the capital has been reduced to ash, so don’t be concerned about being locked out.

You must travel to the bottom of the underground region to find Mohg, the Omen. This is a lesser version of the shardbearer that you will encounter later in the game. After fighting Mohg, you can enter a secret tunnel beneath the altar in his boss area by striking it. Once within, you must platform your way to the bottom of a pit. A Site of Grace and a large yellow eyeball entrance may be found at the bottom. You must remove all armor before you may unlock the door. This is the point of no return, and you will be unable to go to alternative endings unless you do a number of more actions. Once inside, you will be branded by the Three Fingers. When you engage with Marika at the conclusion of the game, you will only have the Lord of the Frenzied Flame ending choice.

To remove the Frenzied Flame’s marking, you must now finish Millicent’s mission. Millicent has been discovered in Caelid, where a sorcerer is working to treat her Scarlet Rot. Both may be located in the vicinity of Selia, Town of Sorcery. Following your encounters with Sage Gowry and Millicent, you will be charged with battling Commander O’Neil in the heart of Aenoia Swamp, which is next to the town. You will obtain the Unalloyed Golden Needle after beating him. Give it to Sage Gowry and relax at a Grace Site.

Millicent will be able to utilize it when you return. Give the needle to Millicent in the Cathedral of the Plague, which is located on the cliff above Selia. She’ll use it on herself, and you’ll have to exhaust her conversation. She will next proceed to Sage Gowry’s Shack, where you must repeat her discourse.

You must next proceed to Altus Plateau and the Shaded Castle. It’s in the north and may be seen on the map as buildings in a lush green region. The castle is situated in a toxic marsh and is teeming with Scarlet Rot foes. The Valkyrie Prosthesis may be found at the top of the castle. Now proceed south to the Erdtree-Gazing Site of Grave, where you can give Millicent the arm. Exhaust her conversation. Next, travel to Dominula, Windmill Village, which is located on the Altus Plateau’s northernmost region. Travel to the village’s apex and defeat the Godskin Apostle, then rest in the Site of Grace that appears when it is defeated. Millicent should emerge close, and you will need to chat with her once again.

Millicent will now relocate to the Mountaintops of the Giants, more particularly to the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Grace. If you speak with her again, she will go to Miquella’s Haligtree. After obtaining the secret medallion, use it at Rold’s Grand Lift and travel north until you reach Ordina, Liturgical Town. Solve the riddle here to open a teleport portal that will take you to the Haligtree. Make your way through this area until you come across Millicent at the Prayer Room Site of Grace. Continue to converse with her until you have heard what she has to say.

Continue down until you reach the Grace Drainage Channel Site. Head up into the rot-infested tree to find an ulcred tree ghost. There are now summon signals on the ground, giving you the choice of attacking or defending Millicent. If you assist her in defeating her sisters, you will gain access to a Site of Grace. Speak with Millicent, then leave, only to return and discover her dead. Remove the Unalloyed Gold Needle from her body. You must now vanquish Malenia in the Haligtree’s heart. After you beat her, put the needle on the flower left by her body to obtain Miquella’s Needle.

You must now proceed to the Crumbling Farum Azula and proceed all the way through until you reach the Grace Site beside the Great Bridge. Return down the elevator and outside, passing through some adversaries until you reach a cliff edge. Drop down to the floating ledges and keep going until you can “relax” on one of the platforms. You will be brought to Dragonlord Placidusax’s boss chamber after a cutscene. You can use the needle to cleanse yourself of the Frenzied Flame in this region. You don’t have to fight the boss, but because the needle is only good for one usage, you may as well if you wish to fast travel here later. Using the needle prevents you from reaching the Frenzied Flame conclusion.
