So Many Manzos! See Caroline and Albert’s Family Through the Years

Nothing but love. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo has become the matriarch of one of Bravo’s most memorable families.

The reality star was born in August 1961 to parents Nettie and Joseph Laurita and is one of the couple’s 11 children — the youngest of which is Caroline’s former costar, Dina Manzo. The sisters were two of RHONJ’s original Housewives upon the show’s premiere in 2009, along with their sister-in-law, Jacqueline Laurita, who married their brother, Chris Laurita, in 2002. The show’s season 1 cast also included Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub.

Caroline’s husband, Albert Manzo III — whom she wed in 1984 — was also a ficture on the series, as well as their three children. The pair welcomed their eldest, son, Albie, in 1986, followed by daughter Lauren in 1988. One year later, their youngest, Christopher, was born in 1989.

Caroline announced her departure from the Bravo series after five seasons in September 2013. “It’s been wonderful, guys,” she wrote via Twitter at the time. “I’ve decided to leave #RHONJ. This season was my last. Love and kisses to you all. xoxoxo.”

However, she and her family were back on Bravo one year later with the debut of their RHONJ spinoff series, Manzo’d with Children. The show followed Caroline, Albert and their kids and the daily ups and downs of living under the same roof.

Months after the show’s season 3 finale, Caroline confirmed in February 2017 that the show would not return for a fourth installment. “After three Seasons of Manzo’d we out – Markie drops 🎤,” she captioned a pic of her then-newborn granddaughter, Markie — whom Lauren shares with husband Vito Scalia — holding up three fingers via Instagram. “We are forever grateful to our viewers, we love you all! ❤.”

Christopher, for his part, responded to the cancellation news with a post of his own. “Huge thank you to all who’ve watched over the years, and of course Bravo for giving us a platform that changed our lives. We out,” he tweeted at the time.

In the years since the show’s end, Caroline has continued to share her love for her family via social media. She celebrated Markie’s 6th birthday in February 2023 by sharing a slideshow of their sweetest photos and videos. “I can’t believe she’s six. Our sweet little Marchesa fills our lives with love, laughter, hugs, and sass,” Caroline gushed in the Instagram post’s caption. “May God bless you always, DeeDee, and PopPop love you endlessly—happy birthday to our sweet Markie girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Later that year, Albie popped the question to his girlfriend, Chelsea DeMonaco. “She said YES!!!! Congratulations to @albiemanzo and @chelseademonaco on their engagement!” Caroline captioned a pic of the happy couple via Instagram. “We love you both to bits and are excited for this new chapter in all of our lives. Wedding bells will be ringing!!!! 💍❤️❤️.”

Caroline and Albert tied the knot in July 1984.

Caroline, her sister, Dina, and her sister-in-law, Jacqueline, made their Bravo debuts on season 1 of RHONJ.

The Brownstone catering business owner announced she was leaving RHONJ after five seasons via Twitter. “It’s been wonderful guys. I’ve decided to leave #RHONJ this season was my last,” Caroline wrote at the time. “Love and kisses to you all. xoxoxo.”

One month later, Caroline confirmed that she and her family filmed a pilot for a RHONJ spinoff series titled Manzo’d With Children. She teased that the show would show “a very different look into the world of the Manzo family.”

Manzo’d With Children premiered on Bravo and followed the lives and hijinks of Caroline, Albert and their three adult children living together under the same roof.

Caroline, Dina and Jacqueline set aside their past drama and celebrated Christmas together. “Merry, Merry, Christmas ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Caroline captioned a pic from their family holiday gathering via Instagram.

One year after tying the knot with her husband, Vito, Lauren announced she was pregnant with the couple’s first child.

Lauren and Vito announced the birth of their daughter, Marchesa Anna Scalia, via Instagram. “My Markie Girl 💗,” Lauren captioned a hospital pic of herself holding her newborn.

Caroline revealed that season 3 of Manzo’d with Children was the show’s last by sharing a hilarious pic of baby Markie holding up three fingers. “After three Seasons of Manzo’d we out – Markie drops 🎤,” the New York native captioned the Instagram photo. “We are forever grateful to our viewers, we love you all! ❤.”

Caroline praised her daughter for standing up for herself against parenting police online. “Her mama bear instincts kicked in,” she exclusively told Us Weekly. “I certainly understand that because there are some people out there that say very hurtful, unnecessary things.”

At the time, Lauren had temporarily stopped sharing photos of Markie on social media following mean comments about her parenting style.

Caroline dubbed her niece, Candice Laurita, as her “second daughter” in a sweet 40th birthday Instagram post, adding that “she’s a handful in the best of ways.”

Caroline commemorated Markie’s preschool graduation by sharing pics from her granddaughter’s ceremony via Instagram. “She’s the light of our lives, our Markie girl 💕,” she wrote at the time.

“Cheers to 38 years 🥂,” Caroline captioned a selfie of herself and Albert in celebration of their wedding anniversary. “Love this man to bits, here’s hoping for 38 more ❤️❤️.”

Caroline announced that Albie had popped the question to his girlfriend, Chelsea, by sharing a pic of the happy couple. “We love you both to bits and are excited for this new chapter in all of our lives. Wedding bells will be ringing!!!! 💍❤️❤️,” she captioned the photo, which featured Chelsea sporting her engagement ring.

Lauren opened up about her 80-pound weight loss, crediting the weight loss drug Mounjaro for helping her lose her last 30.

“I went gluten [and] dairy free over a year ago. I had the Lap-Band, I got it removed again. I got up to 208 pounds,” she explained during a taping of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. Noting that regular diet and exercise didn’t work for her, she sought out a functional medicine doctor for help.

She continued: “I really do believe that obesity and things like that — they are a major issue with people — it is causing mental health issues for me. You guys have seen the struggle with this since I’m 20 years old, and it’s been really hard for me.”
