We are finally closing into the month when ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’ opens in theaters and on Netflix. Asta, Yuno, and other magic knights will fight some of the strongest wizard kings the Clover Kingdom ever had.
The hype has not gone down even by a bit, especially because of what is happening in the manga. Although the movie features an original story with original characters, it will somehow fit into the series’ timeline.
On Friday, the streaming platform Netflix revealed a new character video for the film ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’. The video features Asta, the protagonist of the original ‘Black Clover’ anime.[1] The film will open in theaters and on Netflix on June 16.

In the 40-second video, Asta faces off against Conrad Leto, the wizard king who was the predecessor to Julius Novachrono. Asta yells, “I will change this country with everyone”. Yuno, Yami, Noelle, and the other Black Bulls are shown supporting him.

I am so excited to see Asta and the others back in action after the Spade Kingdom’s first invasion. It has been quite long. Not all shonen anime manage to keep it simple and enjoyable at the same time. Black Clover got that balance right throughout its run and we expect the same from the movie.

About Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King
Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King is an original movie belonging to the Black Clover franchise. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters and on Netflix on June 16, 2023.
The movie will introduce a brand-new character called Conrad Leto. Leto was the wizard king before Julius, and he was loved by all the kingdom’s citizens before he turned against the kingdom and was sealed.
His reappearance will pull Asta and the magic knights into a new battle as he wields the “Emperor’s Sword” and plans to bring back the three most feared wizard kings – Edward Avalaché, Princia Funnybunny, and Jester Galandros.
